What types of tarpaulin and canvas are there?

With our excessively large selection of tarpaulins and canvas, this can only be classified in broad terms. We have as many as 23 different types of tent fabric and tarpaulin for covering or protecting your belongings or objects. In addition to the types of fabric there is also a difference in UV stability and fire resistance. ESVO has it all.
Nevertheless a classification:

A construction tarpaulin as a cover - strong, UV-stable or fire resistant.

• ready-made (including eyelets) or
• supplied from the roll to make your own tarpaulin (tarpaulin from 1 meter and then every 10 centimeters longer). See below the explanation of HDPE.
• we have this in several weights (the heavier, the more durable and stronger)
• available with extra UV-stability or fireproof(with B1-norm)

A tarpaulin made of reinforced PVC or Bisonyl (truck canvas)

You can also choose a tarpaulin made from reinforced PVC fabric. In other words: a polyester fabric that is coated with PVC on two sides. Very strong, more durable than HDPE, especially with regard to UV stability and weather resistance.
We have as many as 9 different qualities of reinforced PVC, varying in weight and strength. All PVC types of tarpaulin are manufactured in Europe and are of high quality and durable.

A tarpaulin or cover made from fabric: boat acrylic or all season tarpaulin.

As the largest manufacturer of camping tents in the Netherlands, ESVO obtains 95% of its tent cloth from the well-known weaving mill Ten Cate, known for their slogan 'the world's best tent cloth'. And that is true, because this tent cloth never gives rise to any complaints. And that is what we choose.
The 'All Season' tent cloth is normally used for caravan awnings and caravan canopies, but this fabric can also be used as sailcloth for covering garden furniture or a boat, for example.
A second fabric is our boat acrylic. This fabric is normally used as a boat tarpaulin, but it can just as well be used for other purposes.

H.D.P.E. tarpaulin from the construction market, but many times stronger and more durable.

Our tarpaulin in H.D.P.E. quality is the well-known construction tarpaulin of only 100 grams, but much more weather-resistant and durable. The name stands for High-density Polyethylene. This tarpaulin has a double-sided coating of LDPE. The weight is also heavier than a standard tarpaulin: from 220 gr./m² to 250 gr./m². The tensile strength and tear resistance is unsurpassed: 1022 N/5cm and 210 N respectively. Our tarpaulin material can withstand temperatures from -40 to +80 ˚C. In addition to these characteristics, the most important property is the u.v. resistance and stability: 200 Kly. This makes our tarpaulin ideal for customising applications that you do not need to worry about: trailer - boat - car - cargo bike - camper - caravan - roof - bicycle trailer - jacuzzi - rowing boat - speedboat - dinghy - trampoline - garden furniture - boats - sandpit - sailing boat.

Accessories for making your own custom tarpaulin.

If you want to make a custom tarpaulin yourself, we really do have everything you need. To name just a few:
Sewing thread (various designs and bobbin lengths), eyelets (5 diameters, nickel-plated/brass), loose hollow pipes (for punching the holes), press studs, tourniquets, tension elastics, tension rubbers, market clamps, steel wire, tension loops, elastic cord, grommets/quick clips, and so on.
