Composition and waterproofness of acrylic fabric

Acrylic fabric has the highest weather resistance (the influence of both UV light and moisture and the interaction between them) and therefore meets extremely strict technical requirements. The acrylic fabric is woven from mass-coloured acrylic fibres. As a result, the colour is in the heart of the fibre, which ensures exceptional and long-lasting colour fastness.
The acrylic coating is on the INSIDE of the fabric, so you always have the most beautiful side in view. This coating also has an exceptionally high water column, which means that the fabric is guaranteed to be waterproof under all conditions. The outside, however, is provided with a dirt-repellent impregnation.
Another advantage of acrylic fabric is that it is slightly breathable, which prevents condensation. This cloth remains flexible in use and is relatively light in weight.

Maintenance of acrylic fabric

The maintenance of acrylic fabrics is easy thanks to the extra water- and dirt-repellent post-treatment. Brushing the outside (=upper side) with a soft brush and possibly wiping it with a clean cloth with lukewarm water is sufficient for a longer life of the fabric. As mentioned earlier, the outside has a dirt-repellent impregnation.
Warning: Never use a high-pressure sprayer or garden hose to clean the acrylic fabric. Let the fabric dry well before rolling it up, so that it retains its beauty longer.
