The Mostert aluminium tent poles are an absolute must when it comes to storm strength and durability. So if you want to replace the poles in your dome tent, there is no more durable aluminium pole than the Mostert poles. The standard alloy 7075 T6 aluminium is used. It doesn't get any better than this. The pole sections are 45 cm long, have a pressed insert and are perfectly smooth. The set comes complete with end tips, shock cord and clear instructions. This allows you to easily make or replace exactly fitting bow poles for your dome tent.

Mostert aluminium poles are made of European aluminium.
These refined aluminium tent poles consist of a high-quality precision tube in the alloy 7075. In comparison, 7075 aluminium is up to 10 times less susceptible to stress corrosion and its composition extends the life of the poles. The sophisticated balance of strength and elasticity guarantees optimum support of the tent in almost all conditions. All parts have pressed inserts and are finished perfectly smooth to prevent damage to the tent.
The original MOSTERT aluminium poles are equipped with a strong and flexible shock cord so that you can adjust the poles to the desired length. Weight 310 grams.

Background information on the original Mostert tent poles

The technician Adriaan Mostert wanted to go camping just after the war, in 1947. The quality of the tent poles at the time was very disappointing: they could not withstand fierce gusts of wind, they were too heavy and they took up too much space. All this motivated Adriaan Mostert to invent his own tent pole, which did meet his requirements for being able to camp without the tent collapsing. He tested many materials and windy conditions. After all this thorough and lengthy research, he arrived at a special, yet lightweight aluminium, which achieved optimum strength. On top of this, Mr Mostert devised a clever so-called "nestable" stacking system for his tent poles: the aluminium poles could be inserted into each other very easily. In this way the volume could be reduced by 80%. Today the original Mostert pole is still a household name, because these poles stand for all-round quality and workmanship. For 46 years ESVO has had its own, also highly proven telescopic tent poles; also ABSOLUTELY PROVEN to be wind-resistant.
