Our iron-on fabric is very suitable for the repair of tears and holes in your tent, windbreak, awning or other cotton fabrics.
Iron-on repair fabric is not suited for airbeds, synthetic tents or materials. To be applied with an iron or heated pan
Before you start with the repair, make sure that you have a soft surface, for example, an ironing board. Use a dry iron and no steam. Then check that the fabric to be repaired is dry and clean. Cut the repair fabric so that it is larger than the tear(approximately 4 cm) and round off the corners. Adjust the iron for cotton or linen.
Warm the area to be repaired with the iron for approximately 10 seconds. Lay the repair piece with the glued side on the area to be repaired. Then cover everything with a thin piece of material, (e.g. a handkerchief) and put firm pressure on the repair fabric for 20-30 seconds. Move the iron back and forth a little while pressing.
For large tears, and on places where there is a lot of tension on the fabric, glue the fabric on both sides. Then allow everyting to cool off properly.
